About

Ratty, Badger and Mole join the exuberant Toad and embark on a series of adventures and misadventures caused by insatiable need for speed! Imprisoned for theft and with his existence under threat from the inhabitants of the Wild Wood, Toad must attempt a daring escape to defend Toad Hall.

In 2011, producer Jamie Hendry commissioned George Stiles and Anthony Drewe to write the music and lyrics for a new stage musical version of Kenneth Grahame’s wild tale about the thrill-seeking, lovable menace Mr Toad. The show saw Stiles + Drewe reunite with book writer Julian Fellowes, who they had previously worked with on Mary Poppins and Half A Sixpence.

The Wind in the Willows premiered at the Theatre Royal in Plymouth in October 2016 before embarking on a UK Tour to The Lowry in Salford and The Mayflower, Southampton. In the summer of 2017 the show ran at the iconic London Palladium.
