Most of the beaches in and around Looe do not have a lifeguard service so it’s important that you know how to stay safe. Here are some quick tips from us:
Protect and keep an eye on your family
Stay together and don’t use inflatables
In an emergency dial 999 for the Coastguard
There may be signs on the beach giving you important information. The beach flags and signs are explained on the RNLI website.
Low tide is a great time for exploring the beach but the tide can come in very quickly. Always check the tide times so they don’t surprise you. Click here to see tide times
Some of the beaches in and around Looe are dog friendly all year round but others have restrictions in place and dogs are not welcome at certain times. Cornwall Council provides a list of the dog restrictions that are in place.
Please remember to take all of your rubbish away with you. This will help protect our wonderful beaches and keep them clean and safe for everyone to enjoy.
The sand wheelchair is currently not available from East Looe Town Trust. We will update this information when the service is back up and running.
