About

On a summer morning in 1988 Tory politician Robin Hesketh arrives home to his idyllic Cotswold residence. But all is not as blissful as it seems; his wife Diana has a hangover, the fridge is empty, a fox is digging up his garden and secrets are being unearthed all over the place.

A morning of comical marital sparring evolves into something darker and deeper as an incident from the past tests their relationship to its limits. This funny, brutal and ultimately touching play was premiered at the National Theatre in 2019. In Election Year there could not be a better time for its revival.

Running time: Approx. 90 minutes (no interval) Advisory Age 14+.

Strong language, explores themes of sexuality and suicide.
